Goals & Objectives

Our goal is to empower kids, all members and the community clear and sound knowledge of Islam. Our objectives are to provide clear understanding teaching of Islam, learning and reading Holy Qur’an fluently and the meanings, introduction of Hadiths and Fiqh.

The educational structure of NASFAT Atlanta will be based on five major categories. The categories are Beginner’s Class, Intermediate Class, Senior Class, Adult Beginner Class and Advance Adult Class.

Please note: If you have more than 2 children, the first 2 children will per $15 each while the 3rd or and 4th child is or are free (example, a family of 4 children will only pay $30/month for the first 2 kids and the others are free).

Procedure & Discipline Policy

Responsibilities
We are all responsible for successful implementation of this School and to achieve our goals.

Responsibilities of the Students

  • Attending all classes, regularly and on time.
  • Being prepared for each class with appropriate materials and assignments.
  • Being appropriately dressed and groomed.
  • Showing respect toward others.
  • Behaving in an Islamically responsible manner.
  • Obeying all school rules, including safety rules and code of student conduct

Responsibilities of the Parents

  • Provide for the physical needs of the student.
  • Teach the student to listen to teachers and other school personnel and to obey school rules.
  • Be sure the student attends school regularly and on time, and promptly report and explain absences and tardiness to the school.
  • Encourage and lead the students to develop proper study habits and assist on school assignments at home.
  • Participate in meaningful parent-teacher conferences to discuss the student’s school progress and welfare.
  • Pay required fees and fines, unless these are waived.
  • Be sure the student is appropriately dressed and groomed at school and school related activities.
  • Bring to the attention of school authorities any learning problem or condition that may relate to the student’s education.
  • Maintain up-to-date home, work, and emergency telephone numbers and other pertinent information at the school.
  • Cooperate with the school staff.
  • Be sure the student attends school tutorials when required or as the need arises.
  • Sign and submit the attached Acknowledgement Statement.

 

Responsibilities of the Teachers

  1. Provide a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
  2. Communicate and explain to their students the school discipline policy and procedures.
  3. Maintain a discipline record for each of their students and submit such records to the school disciplinarian on a regular basis.
  4. Be punctual and have regular attendance.
  5. Be prepared to perform their teaching duties with appropriate preparation, assignments, and resource materials.
  6. Comply with NAS policies, rules and regulations.
  7. Maintain an orderly classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  8. Establish rapport and an effective working relationship with parents, students and other staff members.
  9. Teach students to develop and practice self-discipline.
  10. Serve as appropriate role models for students, in accordance with the standards of the teaching profession.
  11. Interact with parents to mutually resolve any disciplinary problems the students may have.

Code of Conduct
It is very important for parents and student to understand NAS code of Conduct

 

Dress Code
Students should be dressed and groomed in a manner that is Islamic, clean and neat and that will not be a health or safety hazard to themselves or others.
Girls should wear dresses that cover their body and should wear scarf or Hijab.
Boys should wear pants that cover their knees.

Jurisdiction
NAS has jurisdiction over its students during the regular school day. NAS jurisdiction includes any activity during the school day on school grounds, and any school-related activity, regardless of time or location.

Prohibited Activities
Prohibited activities are offenses and acts of misconduct which interferes with the smooth operation of the school or is in conflict with Islamic religion. Any student who engages in any of these activities will be subject to appropriate discipline.

Discipline

  • Discipline shall be administered when necessary to protect students, school employees, or property and to maintain essential order and discipline.
  • Students shall be treated fairly and equitably.
  • Discipline shall be based on a careful assessment of the circumstance of each case.
  • Teachers shall follow warning procedures before issuing demerits in class to students in violation of the discipline code
